Progress Photos and Last Weeks Happenings

Last week I kicked some serious boo-tay! I worked out for 7:40:46 and burned 3,301 calories! It was a lot of hard work, but everything has sort of clicked into place and it’s not a choice to workout anymore.. I just do it. Yeah, it sucks sometimes and I dread going to a class or putting a dvd on, but once I get started, and especially when it’s over, I feel amazing and it’s all worth it.
A few neat things happened last week:
My treadmill 5k, of course.
I hadn’t done Jillian’s “No More Trouble Zones” in a couple of months and decided to do it to change things up a bit. A dvd that used to have my legs shaking, sweat pouring and many breaks just wasn’t that tough anymore. Seriously.. it was insane. I did the entire thing no problem and it was kind of, can’t believe I’m saying this, boring. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an awesome workout and was my favorite dvd for the longest time, but just wasn’t that challenging to me anymore. I’m gettin’ it shape!
I tried a hot power yoga class. Technically it wasn’t the real deal as my city is pretty tiny and doesn’t have certain classes available. It was an hour and a half in a 75°ish room, but it was really fun! My shoulders, back and arms are really sore from all the plank and downward dog moves. I’ll definitely be back for the next class as it’s a great way to change up my workouts and get some wonderful stretching in.
Here are some goals for this week:
Get a workout in before work in the mornings. I’m going to keep adding this as a goal until I actually do it. NO MORE SNOOZE BUTTON!
Take a pilates class. My gym offers a class that I’ve heard good things about so I want to give it a go. I’m really into switching up workouts right now and seeing what all is out there.
Organize my closet. Greg gave up his half of the walk-in closet and moved his junk upstairs! Aw, yeah! Now it’s time for me to get rid of some things, buy some new basics and organize!
These shouldn’t be too bad- except the morning workouts.
I’m going to start doing monthly progress photos instead so you can see a bigger change. I’ve seen and felt huge results these past couple of weeks which makes me only want to push that much harder. I’m loving it and even have to stop and flex in the mirror a couple times a day. Haha :]
The progress photos are after the cut!

^ That was me on December 20.

^ Me now. Ch-ch-changes!

The percentages in parentheses are the difference from when I started this on December 20.

The following differences in parentheses are from December 27 because I didn’t track these two on my first weigh-in, unfortunately.

I know what you mean about morning workouts!!
But I now do most of my workouts early in the morning… the key is just to get out of bed, you can walk around with your eyes closed for the first 5 minutes, but I found if I just got myself out of bed that was half the battle!
You can do it!
Also, thanks for sharing your path with us… you are very inspirational!
Haha! I like that. I’ll try to get straight out of bed and walk around, but allow enough time to fully wake up.
Thank you so much! :]
Heck yeah girlie! You are doing great! Isn’t it awesome to start seeing/feeling the changes and know that all your hard work is paying off?
I’m totally with you on the morning workouts. Funny, I can get up early without any problems UNLESS I’m getting up early to work out!
Yes, it’s amazing! I’m glad I’ve been taking photos too because when I can *see* the changes and compare from months ago it motivates me even more!
Haha, that is funny! Glad to know I’m not alone though :]
