Weekly Love
Just a few things I’m loving this week…
Burrito Bowls » I’ve been obsessed with making these all week long. They are awesome for after working out because with the quinoa, black beans, kale, and Greek yogurt there is so much protein. I just heat everything up along with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder and a bit of nutritional yeast and it tastes so good.
Essie Nail Polish in “Lady Like” » I never paint my nails but I kept hearing really great things about Essie. I would pass by their display in Target with all these beautiful colors but my cheap self couldn’t justify spending almost eight bucks on a tiny bottle of polish. Well, I made a trip to good ol’ Target yesterday and finally decided to try ‘em out and I’m really glad I did. The colors are subtle, long lasting and it makes me feel better about my super short nails. If you have any other good color recommendations let me know!
Vegan Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls » Yeah, you read that right. Not only was I loving eating these all week, but I was also loving the fact that I made cinnamon rolls from scratch and they turned out well! I always figured making a homemade cinnamon roll would be so much work but it really wasn’t bad at all! I followed the recipe from A Healthy Slice of Life and it was super easy. Her recipe calls for raisins but I can’t stand the little dried up creeps so I left them out and I was going to sub them with walnuts but didn’t have any unfortunately. These are a must for this fall!
Gelato » I tried gelato for the first time this week and loved it. We have a super cute shop downtown called Coolato Gelato and I can’t believe I waited so long to try it out. You get two flavors and I chose pumpkin and mocha. So, so good!
Other things that made my week » Dance Central for Kinect (so much fun) /// lots of hot tea /// making hiking plans /// decorating for Halloween /// taking spin after a little break from it /// planning a pumpkin carving party /// hanging out with my sister and baby nephew /// waking up before sunrise and drinking my coffee on the back porch /// these photos of people scared in a haunted house
Recipes that look amazing & I’m wanting to try! » pizza potatoes /// lentil soup /// pumpkin ice cream bites
I hope you all had an amazing week and have a wonderful weekend!

mmm, i haven’t been to coolato gelato in awhile, but i need to go back!
Haha they are just so gross!
They had a banana pudding gelato that sounded so good. Next time!
I am such a sucker for gelato. There’s a place by my old office that has a honey fig, and mascarpone flavor that’s to die for.
Wow, those flavors sound really good. I’ll have keep checking back and see if they get mascarpone there. I’ve been thinking about it since I read your post where you put it on scones which sounds incredible, btw!

I’ve been drinking a lot of chamomile lately before bed and it’s so good and relaxing. I need to branch out and try some different varieties too.
