What I Ate Wednesday
I’m always a day late with WIAW since I usually only remember it’s happening when I open Google Reader in the mornings. So, here’s What I Ate Wednesday on Thursday.
I had to wake up early yesterday morning to get Waves to a doctor appointment so I skipped breakfast. On the way back home I stopped by Starbucks and got a tall unsweetened iced coffee with soymilk. When I got home I fed Waves, gave her a bath, and laid her down for a nap and then it was time for me to eat. I ended up making an omelet with green peppers and a tomato. I’ve been making omelets a lot lately and it’s a nice change up from plain eggs on a slice of Ezekiel bread.
For lunch I made a salad of field greens, tomato, cucumber, avocado, sunflower seeds, and some pan-fried tempeh. The dressing was this balsamic vinaigrette.
I had an apple and almond butter for a snack. I ate the last of the almond butter so I’m going to have to go get some more. We’ve been buying the kind that’s in the bulk foods area of Earth Fare since all it is is ground almonds and no salt or sugar.
Dinner was this Mexican corn and bean soup. I ended up eating two and a half bowls that I added Cholulua, Greek yogurt, and a few crushed up tortilla chips to.
I had a couple of squares of this chocolate afterwards. I usually always have a bar of this hanging out in the fridge. Does anyone else like to only eat cold chocolate?
It doesn’t seem like I ate a lot looking back on it, but it was the best I could do since Waves is teething and does not want to be put down for even a few seconds. I feel bad for the poor girl but I am about to go crazy between her not napping and learning to bite (while eating – OHMYGOD!) so it has been a rough few days for us. Speaking of, she is up from her 12 minute nap so I’m off. :]

Love your posts!
. Biting while nursing is the worst!! (And pretty darn stressful, when you don’t know when it’s coming!). I did a couple loud ‘No!’s whenever I was bit, it startled her enough ( she cried, purely upset that I had disrupted her ‘quiet time’) that it was only a couple times and she never did it again- and she nursed until she turned 2. Good Luck!
Thank you! :] Oh my goodness, it is the worst thing ever. I screamed the first time she did it and she started laughing! I got so scared when it was time to nurse her again, but braced myself for it to happen again. When she did it I said “no!” like you and pulled her off and she just looked at me like “what the hell?” haha. She did it a couple more times, however she quickly realized she would get pulled off each time. Thankfully it hasn’t happened again, but now I’m so nervous each time I go to nurse! I appreciate the luck because I think I’m going to need it.
